Some decoys belong in a local historical museum. For me, this is one of those decoys. A very small solid carved brant from Seaford, Long Island by Willet Carman. Super early decoy circa 1880. I suspect the paint to be very old working repaint. The head is super folksy and carved from a root with carved eyes. Measures just 14” in length.
