Solid balsa body construction canvasback drake by a San Francisco Bay maker unknown to me. Likely circa 1920s-30s. Very finely carved redwood head. Raised primary feather carvings similar to the work of Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson. The inletted ballast weight is consistent with decoys/makers from the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA. Branded HO. Measures just over 14” in length. Paint on the body appears to be mostly old working repaint and the head appears to be original.
