This is a very rare high-necked pintail drake from an unknown San Francisco bay maker. This important decoy is pictured in a large photo opposite page 1 of Wildfowl Decoys of California Vintage Carving Traditions of the Golden State by Michael Miller. It is also pictured on page 643. Excellent and all original paint. There are a few tight hairline neck cracks. Measures 19” in length.
