Exceedingly rare high-head pintail drake by Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson. This wonderful decoy has been expertly repainted by the talented, late artist, Don Brewer (Eureka, CA). See page 200 of Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson by Wallace Lourdeaux. Be aware the there is collector speculation that Brewer transformed a number of regular neck pintails into high necks. It is certainly possible this example did not start life as a high neck. Nevertheless, It is a pleasing example by a master carver and talented decoy restoration artist. Measures 18” in length.
