Super rare, hollow carved redwood, bluebill drake by Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson (Sonoma, CA) ca. 1930s. Bluebills by this most collectable early California maker are scarce and highly sought after by collectors. I’ve only seen a handful of horizontally hollowed examples. Paint appears to be worn and mostly original with some old traces of old in use repaint. Measures 14” in length. See Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson by Wallace Lourdeaux.
