Nice little pair of buffleheads from the Pt. Pleasant, NJ factory of the Wildfowler Decoy Company. These were sold unpainted by the factory. The painter of this pair could be Bob Gerard of Long Island, NY, as indicated on the collectors tag on the bottom. Each measures just over 9” in length. Historically these have been attributed to a Leo von Brunt of Long Island. Knowledgeable collectors have challenged that attribution.
