Lovely hollow carved Pacific black brant by Merven Olsen (Eureka, CA) ca. 1930s-40s in later repaint perhaps by Bill Neal. Uniquely hollow carved utilizing 6 1 1/2” plugs along the back. This exact decoy is pictured on page 76 of Wildfowl Decoys of the Pacific Coast by Michael Miller. Measures 17.5” in length.
