Solid carved premier grade, Seneca Lake model canvasback drake from the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI) ca. 1915. Under black light inspection, the head, breast and tail show as original and the white on the body shows as having been repainted. The feathering on the tail may have had strengthening as well. Measures 16” in length. See page 52 of Mason Decoys by Goldberger and Haid. Note the stable neck crack.
