Excellent and original paint on this rare rig mate pair of premier grade mallards from the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI) ca. 1920. Hollow carved with tight seams. The hen has an expertly done tiny tail chip repair. The drake has a tail chip repair approximately the size of a quarter. UV light inspections shows a tight factory infill crack along the drakes back with later touch up along that line. There are several small touch ups to a few areas along the drakes lower sides. Hard to find rig mates in this good of condition. Each measures nearly 18” in length. Wonderful bold feathering.
