Rare premier grade green-winged teal hen by the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI) ca. 1910. Paint is good and original showing light in use wear. Recently discovered in a central valley California estate. This wonderful example was found with the very tip of the bill (approximately 1/4”) blunted. The repair was expertly conducted by Paul Fortin. In addition the right side seem was slightly open and has been repaired, along with three small areas on the right side receiving paint strengthening. Before/after photos are available upon request. Measures 13” in length. A very rare example.
