All original paint on this fine pair of working bluebills by R. Madison Mitchell. These examples were purchased by our client directly from Mitchell at his facility in Havre de Grace, MD in 1969 and have been in the hands of a single owner since then. This pair is lightly gunned over for only three seasons at the mouth of the South River in Anne Arundle County, MD. Note the tight neck crack on the hen, age cracks on both sides of the hen and scuffs from field use on both. Each measures approximately 15” in length.
