Certainly the best pair of pintails I’ve ever offered by Herman August “Junky” Fuhrmann (Berkeley, CA) ca. 1930s. Constructed of cork on redwood board with inserted wood for the tails and raised wingtips on both. Good and all original paint. The hen is in a slight low head posture and the drake is in a high head posture creating an appealing life-like design. The drake measures 18” in length and the hen is 15”. The hen is pictured at the bottom left of page 261 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller.
