Rare original paint hollow carved mallard drake by Charles Bergman (Astoria, OR) ca. 1940. Paint has some crackling but shows as all original with the exception of the white on the tail edge, including the black feathering appears to be old repaint. The carved X in the bottom indicates this to be from the makers personal hunting rig. Note the tight neck crack and tail chip that has been reglued in place. Measures approximately 17” in length.
