Solid carved redwood canvasback drake by an unknown San Francisco bay maker ca. 1930. Nicely carved head very similar to the early work of Harry Cook (Vallejo, CA). See page 191 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller for similar examples. Paint is a mix of original and old in use repaint. Branded JAL. Measures 13” in length.
