See page 200 of Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson by Wallace Lourdeaux as well as page 112 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. With the paint removed, we can be certain that this is one of the few legitimate high-necked models by this most collectable of early California makers. Miller states that only 12 were made on special order. Measures 18” in length.
